The Rise and Fall of the Mongol Empire
The Mongol Empire started in modern-day Mongolia, under the leadership of Temüjin. At age 9 he lost access to his father's crown and vowed to regain his family's position within the Mongol People.
When Temüjin was 40 years old he got his revenge and was crown The Great Khan, or Genghis Khan.
From there he expanded his empire into Central Asia, Siberia, and China. He created a system where people were promoted based on competence, instead of personal connections. This made his Mongol Government far more effective than those of other countries at the time. At the same tie his armies were on horseback and could outrun almost any enemy.
His son Ögedei Khan succeeded him and continued the Mongol's conquests into Eastern Europe, Iran, the Middle East, and China.
After his death Güyük Khan began consolidating the empire and his successor Mongke began the centralisation of Mongol power.
The Mongol ruler focussed on conquering China. And those Mongols living in China slowly integrated into the Chinese population and remained itself the Yuan Dynasty. With the focus on China the other Mongols declared independence and in 1266 the Mongol Empire became 4 countries: Mongol Ulus, The Golden Horde, The Chagatai, and the Ilkhanate.
The Yuan Dynasty was eventually defeated because they were seen as foreign invaders who took more from the people than they were offering them. And were faced with a large uprising. And the Yuan Dynasty retreated back to Mongolia.
The Golden Horde conquered most of Eastern Europe, from Poland and Hungary all the way to modern-day Russia. Europe wasn't a prize worth taking for them and as a result the Mongols were stuck in Eastern Europe fighting amongst each other, until the Russians defeated them.
The Ilkhanate did not have enough grassland in Iran and the Middle East, which limited their power. As a result the Arabs, Persian, and Byzantines were able to defeat this Mongol Horde.
And the Ilkhanate slowly integrated into Central Asian societies as guns made their bows obsolete. They were eventually conquered by the Chinese Empire.

Chapter 1correction: Taiwan was already a wealthy region in the 18th century. That's why so many Qing-dynasty Chinese would risk crossing the Strait even though it was a dangerous sea. Chapter 2 Correction: First, Taiwanese people know politics, and there was even a Petition Movement for the Establishment of a Taiwanese Parliament by Taiwanese politicians during the 20s before the World War. Second, a certain number of Taiwanese were educated by the Japanese system, including technicians, doctors, teachers, etc. But these people didn't learn Chinese Mandarin. Taiwanese society couldn't really culturally connect with the Chinese government after the Japanese defeat.

The sexism in diagnosing autism is such a big issue. I was diagnosed way later in my life because of it and while getting a diagnosis my dad asked a psychiatrist for a translationed book for parents of autistic children. She said they didn't have ANY book about girls.

A few months ago i was have a debate for a grade in class, and we HAD to be in teams, and we were talking about homework institutions, and one of my teammates said something along the lines of: "But some people like autistics and other things need these types of places to function in society" and i was like (in my head) the fuck does that mean??? Also why i dislike debates (because i can't debunk bullshit arguments like this one)

The problem is that there is no distinction in the English language between Hungary empire in past and Hungary as a country today. In Slovak and other languages, the Hungarian empire was not called Hungary, even not in the name of Austria-Hungary empire. It has another different name (Uhorsko). History of Uhorsko (as historians and scientists know): cca 1000 - 1800 --- Joint state of Slovaks and Hungarians. But while people living in today's Slovakia were 100% Slovaks, people living in today's Hungary were only 2% Hungarians and 98% Slovaks. Over the course of 800 years, many Slovaks began to speak Hungarian, because the ruling class was made up of Hungarians. cca 1800 - 1910 --- In Hungary, even in 1880, only small percentage of population spoke Hungarian language. In the years 1880-1910, the increase of the Hungarian population was 3.5 million and it was because the original inhabitants were driven out by force to speak Hungarian !!! The result of this was that majority of people living in todays Hungary speak Hungarian. There was a great persecution, much worse than, for example, during the time of Adolf Hitler from the point of view of Germany 50 years later. after World War I: --- Ending the existence of so-called "Hungary empire", which consisted of many nations. after 2000: --- All scientific genetic studies prove that only 2 percent of today's Hungarians are real Hungarians. 98 percent of today's Hungarians are originally Slavs who lived here before the arrival of Hungarians and later started to speak Hungarian. today's problem: --- In Europe, everyone who is educated knows at least something about the history of the Slavs. They lived here a long time before nomadic and wild Hungarians invaded Europe. But unfortunately, in today's Hungary, all state institutions, such as museums, schools, historians, are forbidden to speak and inform about the Slavs. And it is not a coincidence, because they realize that their Hungarian nationalism is only based on some fantasies and ideas that are not authentic. For example, if you are in a museum in Budapest, you will find exhibits about all the early medieval peoples of Europe, but there is no mention of the Slavs. We already know that today's Hungarians are descendants of Slavs, who speak Hungarian.

Qin is considered one of the most militaristic and tyrannical dynasties in Chinese history; people suffered tremendously under its rule and the entire country rebelled almost as soon as Qin ShiHuang dropped dead. Qin was able to conquer the other states, not bc it was more technologically or culturally advanced, but bc it was more militaristic and ruthlessly efficient than the rest.

Chinese dynasties were NOT named after the ruling dynasty. Most often, they were the names of territories that the regime emerged from. This is just like how the Roman Empire and the French Empire are named after their places of origin. The Chinese word "chao dai" (朝代), while translated as "dynasty" in English, shouldn't be construed in the same way as how it's used in reference to European history.

    • @pquumm

For example, Qin was the name of the state (like France or Germany), but its dynastic rulers like Qin ShiHuang came from House Zhao (赵氏) of Clan Ying (赢姓). Qin ShiHuang's name was actually Zhao Zheng (赵政) or Ying Zheng (嬴政). @2:26, Shang was the name of the state, but the kings of Shang were from House Yin (殷氏) of Clan Zi (子姓).

Africa is not poor. There is poverty in Africa like in any other Continent of the World. And at the same time there is wealth. In the african countries there are many modern Citys with a big Society Life like in any other place in the World. Europe just focuses on the poverty side and keeps a false Image of Africa alive.
